IC660BBD022 is a module that supports the Genius protocol and is part of the Genius I/O Block family of distributed I/O modules. The device is an independent single-node I/O station with sixteen (16) I/O circuits that support a source wiring configuration. The IC660BBD022 has sixteen (16) I/O circuits and operates at 24/48 VDC. Each channel of the module can be configured as input and output and is capable of data exchange via the provided Genius I/O bus terminals. Allows communication between GE programmable logic and automation controllers (PLCS/PACs) and modules such as bus controllers, PC interface modules, Human machine interfaces (Hmis), and third-party devices. The module is a panel mounted stand-alone device connected to an open housing cone and therefore must be installed in a housing that provides adequate protection against industrial contaminants. The module can be installed remotely away from partner equipment at a maximum distance of 7,500 feet. It also allows connecting other I/O modules in a daisy-chain fashion to form the Genius I/O network. The operation of the module can be configured locally using the Handheld Monitor (HHM) via the HHM port installed on top of the terminal component. It can also be configured remotely using the programming software of the host controller. The module’s input channel accepts 12/24 VDC nominal voltage with 1.7 ms drive delay. Similarly, the output channel generates 2 amps of current per circuit with a maximum on-off delay of 1 millisecond. The module consists of two (2) components, in particular the IC660EBD020 Electronics assembly and the IC660TBD022 terminal base assembly.

The IC660BBD022 I/O block is a 16-circuit support source I/O block manufactured by GE Fanuc. It operates on a 24 volt DC power supply and can be used with 2 — and 3-wire sensors. The Genius I-O device has a load current of 2 amps, and this DC power supply module is smart and can be easily configured to be used as a sensor or actuator device. It has additional configurable features, including output power defaults, optional input filtering times, and output pulse testing. The IC660BBD022 I/O block is manufactured with diagnostics and safety measures to easily alert operators to uptime and operational errors. It can easily detect overload, overheat, short circuit, no-load and faulty switching errors. The device is portable and compact. It saves panel space and measures 8.83 inches high, 4.42 inches deep and 3.56 inches wide. The front of the IC660BBD022 source I/O module has 16 configurable I/O circuits. I/O Enabled and Unit OK LED are installed to light up when there is activity on the block. In addition, a monitoring port is available for connection to a handheld programmer. I/O blocks can be easily connected to personal computers running Windows operating systems. The IC660BBD022 I/O module dissipates 68.8 watts of heat when operating with 2 amps. It produces a maximum ripple of 10%. The module has a maximum switching frequency of once per second and a high surge current. The maximum output opening delay is 1 ms. Ambient operating temperature should not exceed 60 degrees Celsius.
