IC694MDL754 High density discrete output module
The IC694MDL754 is a PACSystem RX3i device. In particular, the module is a thirty-two (32) point discrete output module with two (2) isolated groups of sixteen (16) output channels and supports a positive logic wiring configuration.
Each channel is designed to provide an output voltage range of 10.2-20.0 VDC, with a nominal voltage output of 12/24 VDC and an output current of 0.75 amps per channel.
The module comes with various electronic protection ratings such as short circuit, overcurrent and overheat protection. Each protection function supports automatic recovery.
The IC694MDL754 was previously manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms, but was recently acquired by Emerson Automation. The module occupies a slot and can be installed into any free slot of the local CPU rack at any remote I/O station. It is especially compatible with installations of RX3i CPU version or later. It is designed for either box (IC694TBB032) or spring (IC694TBB032) front terminal boards. The module is classified as a low voltage module with a separate LED status indicator.
The IC694MDL754 has a backplane current of 300 mA(maximum) from the 5v bus on the backplane and requires an external power supply to provide a supply voltage range of +12 VDC to +30 VDC, with a nominal power supply of 12/24 VDC. The maximum response time per channel is 0.5 ms, the maximum output leakage current is 0.1 mA, and the typical steady-state overcurrent trip is 5 amps per point. The module has a rated inrush current of 3 amps for 10 milliseconds with no ESCP trip.
The GE Fanuc IC694MDL754 output module is a 12/24 volt DC rated positive logic output module for RX3i PACSystems PLCs. The IC694MDL754 output module belongs to the RX3i PACSystems mid-range controller series. Like most discrete output modules in its class, the IC694MDL754 output module provides an interface between the RX3i controller and external output devices through its 32 discrete output points. Outputs are grouped into 2 isolated output group Commons, each with 16 output points. Each output point has built-in electronic short circuit and overcurrent protection, and when a short circuit or overcurrent occurs, it generates a fault report and sends it to the RX3i controller. The IC694MDL754 output module outputs can be positive logic or source type outputs, which can switch the load to the positive end of the power supply while providing current to the load. As a standard feature, the output of the IC694MDL754 output module can switch loads in the range of 12 to 24 volts DC (+20% to -15%), and each output point can provide a maximum current of up to 0.75 amps.
The GE Fanuc RX3i IC694MDL754 output module is rated at 12/24 V DC and operates in a voltage range of 10.2 to 30.0 V DC. The IC694MDL754 output module draws 300 mA backplane current at 5.0 V DC and has an output current rating of 0.75 amps per point. The IC694MDL754 output module has a surge current rating of 3.0 amps (lasting 10 ms) and a maximum response time of 0.5 ms. The IC694MDL754 output module has a DIP switch on the back end for selecting the output mode, and it also has 32 leds for displaying the status of the individual output points. The IC694MDL754 output module is installed in any I/O slot of the RX3i PLC system and is only compatible with RX3i series cpus with firmware version 2.90 or later.
